SUMMARY:New Graduate Student Orientation
DESCRIPTION:The Graduate School is offering a general orientation for all new graduate students. Sessions will provide information about Graduate Student Government (GSG) grant writing\, financial aid\, parking permits\, Cutler Health Center\, insurance options\, and much more. Additionally\, there will be campus tours including library and FirstClass tutorials. \nA continental breakfast will be provided at Neville Hall during registration\, and lunch at Wells Conference Center will be provided for students who attend the day’s activities. Graduate Students who attend the day’s activities will also receive a pass to attend a social hosted by GSG and the Graduate School that same evening.

SUMMARY:Teaching Assistant Orientation
DESCRIPTION:he Graduate School is providing an orientation that will be useful for all new TAs as they assume their new roles as teachers. Sessions will include a workshop focused on how to approach the first day of class\, lead classroom discussion\, teach a laboratory\, as well as informative sessions on university policy regarding sexual harassment\, academic dishonesty\, and disability accommodation. This orientation program is also an excellent opportunity for new TAs to connect and network. \nContinental breakfast and a catered BBQ lunch will be provided.
