Leehi Yona
Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies
Leehi Yona is a MESc candidate at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. She studies ways to integrate climate science and policy, and is examining greenhouse gas inventories from ecological and political science perspectives. Specifically, she researches the way soil carbon stocks in forests are measured by scientists and understood by policymakers. She is passionate about science communication and the science-policy interface and has written nearly 100 opinion pieces on climate policy. She was named Canada’s Top Environmentalist Under 25.
