Potato virus detection training

For inspectors, regulators, growers and anyone interested in learning more about detection of PVY in the field.

  • Field identification of PVY (strains O, N-Wi and NTN) on 18 popular cultivars grown in the Northeast
  • Talk with experts from the USDA and University of Maine
  • Virus detection workshops will also be held in Othello, WA June 21st and Antigo, WI July 26th

The workshop will be held at the University of Maine Aroostook Farm, 59 Houlton Road, US Route 1, Presque Isle, ME 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for inspectors and 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. for growers and field staff. Refreshments will be provided. The rain date is July 12th.
