Roadmap activity: Academic support center
Initiative 1: Achieving excellence in undergraduate student advising and program quality.
Following information collection and review, the faculty committee advising the college on Initiative 1, along with the college executive committee, recommended the siting and construction of a college “advising center”. UMaine administration also supported this action as demonstrated through their funding of the construction and other costs. The center will be called the (NSFA) Academic Support Center, based on recommendations from the advising faculty committee. The Center will be located on the first floor of Deering Hall. Given COVID-19 and other near-term uncertainties, we anticipate a soft opening of the center sometime in the spring semester or summer 2021.
